Executive Lunch!

Last Tuesday I got the priviledge to go for an Executive Lunch emoticon with CEO Nuvica Pakistan Mr. Ali Raza Shaikh, BDM Nuvica Pakistan Ms. Lubna and (prospective) SQA Lead Ms. Fariha (I swear this is not bragging :P )
It was really funny to have the two serious people trying to convince a pretty non serious person (yeah moi moi) to be serious about life and career…he heemoticon; while I kept enjoying my chinese fried rice and trying to understand who the heck in this world eats CHINESE fried rice with tomatoes and cumcumber which in sliced form were kept above the mountain of rice in my plate…if this was garnishing then I’m sorry i’m not impressed and mind u the place we went to have lunch at is a pretty famous one…after all the CEO was paying :P

During lunch I was also busy eyeing on the CEO sahib’s sleak and shiny Nokia E51 but before I could snatch it from his hand and start playing with it…he slipped it inside his pocketemoticon Then I had no option but to listen to the Bakri Development Manager …jee jee Lubz is working on Bakri’s development program and as a part of it she refused to eat anything but just munch on salad….that too not the achi si pizza hut waali salad but the plain salad. Further to add to these frustrations…..one of the waiters with 4-6 cups of yummy looking ice cream in his tray passed me while I kept sighing….yes…the CEO and BDM din’t get me even one such cup of ice creamemoticon…….choti si bachi par itna zulm….but ah…u don’t know these big famous people…they don’t hav a heart emoticon

Btw I have just realized that this post qualifies to be put under the "Blogo Exaggeration" category. However on a serious note, I started writing it with the intention to thank Ali and Lubz for this wonderful wonderful lunch that they planned just to cheer me up…..THANK U both buddies :) I really enjoyed! emoticon Feeling blessed to have friends like you Alhamdulilah :) who are still with me after I have scared away a few "I’ll be always there for u" types telling them about my worries…khee khee! emoticon

Disclaimer: This post is not for publicity purposes of Nuvica Pakistan….even though the crazy beings that I’ve talked about are associated with Nuvica but they became my friends when there was nothing such as Nuvica Pakistan so, therefore, I got a chance to have an informal lunch with them :)

Blogo Exaggeration # 2: Misunderstandings

You feel torn apart when those whom you are very very closed too, whom you love the most and for whom you are willing to sacrifice anything, misunderstand you. Worst is the case when you try to explain them that what they are thinking is not even close to truth, they seem to be convinced but after sometime start misunderstanding you again. You feel badly stabbed with each word they utter and you just wish to disappear so that you don’t have to listen to what they say. You think of the ways through which you can remove all the misunderstandings and what seems to be the best way is to sit down, calm them down and explain them again that what they are thinking is not correct; but a person like me who hates giving justifications, clarifications and explanations would just want to remain silent and let things be as they are. However, one thing that he/she shouldn’t forget to do is to pray Allah (SWT) to guide us all, help us all to think in the right direction and remove all the misunderstandings.

PS: Saturdays are off at my office and hence they are meant for sleeping to you heart’s content :P and completing all works that kept piling up throughout the week. But right now I’m rotting at my office without access to Internet as the server is down and the networking guy isn’t here. So, I can’t really do anything but exaggerate and hence come up with a post for my bloggy emoticon Btw since Alhamdulilah I like the kind of work I do, the people I work with and the environment I work in so, I really don’t mind working even on Saturdays and since the software is going to our US team for demo on monday so I need to stay atleast till 8 today so as to complete testing it waisay testing could never complete and i read somewhere that 100% testing is a business suicide. emoticon

Blogo Exaggeration # 1: Happiness

My eyes were bulging as those of a frog and I was trying to hide myself so as to avoid responding to the question “Did u cry last night?” Thank God, my spectacles saved me and I realized what my chotu friend A calls  “Chishmish Pride” :)
I was happy b’coz I had managed to escape from people’s interrogation but happy and I……that’s strange!

Happiness always comes in my life on a transit visa, lands, stays for a while and then flies away. Despite my several attempts to make it stay for long, it is JUST NOT willing to stay. It has turned down all my offers to take a Fari land’s Freen card (equivalent of Green Card) quite unsympathetically :(

However, sadness on the other hand keeps rushing in Fari land and has now become a notorious illegal citizen. I have taken strict actions to banish it from entering my land but all in vain. Have always been a giggly girl, always smiling and laughing sometimes even uncontrollably :D but its still there…what the heck!

I remember one of my aunts saying that avoid laughing too much because all those who laugh too much have to cry that much too….waah….has someone got a physical balance to keep a check….I thought and burst into laughter.  I had never believed this crap but over the period of time I’ve realized she wasn’t wrong……………..

And with this post I start a new category on my blog by the name of "Blogo Exaggeration" which is going to contain exaggerated stuff.

NOTE: This is a work of exaggeration. Any resemblance between  characters and the author living or dead is purely coincidental :P
