Until then, however, it is not as if there is nothing you can do to defend yourself. Even if you do not manage to locate self-defence classes and learn some tactics, you could carry a can of Pepper Spray in your hand-bag or, if that is not available, simply a packet of red-chilli powder. The attacker's eyes and nose have to be targetted with either of these. That usually gives the potential victim sufficient time to make an escape.
