Executive Lunch!
Last Tuesday I got the priviledge to go for an Executive Lunch
with CEO Nuvica Pakistan Mr. Ali Raza Shaikh, BDM Nuvica Pakistan Ms. Lubna and (prospective) SQA Lead Ms. Fariha (I swear this is not bragging
)
It was really funny to have the two serious people trying to convince a pretty non serious person (yeah moi moi) to be serious about life and career…he he
; while I kept enjoying my chinese fried rice and trying to understand who the heck in this world eats CHINESE fried rice with tomatoes and cumcumber which in sliced form were kept above the mountain of rice in my plate…if this was garnishing then I’m sorry i’m not impressed and mind u the place we went to have lunch at is a pretty famous one…after all the CEO was paying
During lunch I was also busy eyeing on the CEO sahib’s sleak and shiny Nokia E51 but before I could snatch it from his hand and start playing with it…he slipped it inside his pocket
Then I had no option but to listen to the Bakri Development Manager …jee jee Lubz is working on Bakri’s development program and as a part of it she refused to eat anything but just munch on salad….that too not the achi si pizza hut waali salad but the plain salad. Further to add to these frustrations…..one of the waiters with 4-6 cups of yummy looking ice cream in his tray passed me while I kept sighing….yes…the CEO and BDM din’t get me even one such cup of ice cream
…….choti si bachi par itna zulm….but ah…u don’t know these big famous people…they don’t hav a heart
Btw I have just realized that this post qualifies to be put under the "Blogo Exaggeration" category. However on a serious note, I started writing it with the intention to thank Ali and Lubz for this wonderful wonderful lunch that they planned just to cheer me up…..THANK U both buddies
I really enjoyed!
Feeling blessed to have friends like you Alhamdulilah
who are still with me after I have scared away a few "I’ll be always there for u" types telling them about my worries…khee khee!
Disclaimer: This post is not for publicity purposes of Nuvica Pakistan….even though the crazy beings that I’ve talked about are associated with Nuvica but they became my friends when there was nothing such as Nuvica Pakistan so, therefore, I got a chance to have an informal lunch with them

You’ve been eating fried lice…er…rice? Not too good for your tummy, young lady!
You could’ve told them you wanted to start with dessert.

how come you get the lunch while I didnt?
bahoooot na insaaafi hai!
Comment by aMmAr — March 23, 2008 @ 2:48 am
Lucky you. Is this a testimonial in favor of Nuvica? I thought Ali hated SQA people.
Comment by waqas — March 23, 2008 @ 3:06 pm
@Sidhusaaheb
Last time i visited my doctor uncle he said, “Sub kuch khao but don’t overeat”
so i keep that in my mind.
Starting with a dessert…hmm…not a bad idea if the host doesn’t forget to server proper meal after that
@Ammar
I’m the privileged one
Waisay na insaafi tu hai..u should protest against it
@Waqas
Nopes…it’s not a testimonial in favor of Nuvica
For testimonial Ali would give his clients my number so that they can get in touch with me directly…Jawwad’s tip on my question..remember?
I just added a disclaimer as well
Btw Ali probably doesn’t hate SQA ppl but he certainly hates me for pointing out mistakes in everything he does
but who cares!
Comment by Fariha Akhtar — March 23, 2008 @ 7:37 pm

Jehan says: “It was nice to finally meeting Fariha Akhtar. She has finally taken the plunge - resigned from her job and decided that she is going to be an entrepreneur.”
Its nice to read this. Believe me its the best thing you can do to yourself. Best of luck!
