Blogo Exaggeration # 2: Misunderstandings
You feel torn apart when those whom you are very very closed too, whom you love the most and for whom you are willing to sacrifice anything, misunderstand you. Worst is the case when you try to explain them that what they are thinking is not even close to truth, they seem to be convinced but after sometime start misunderstanding you again. You feel badly stabbed with each word they utter and you just wish to disappear so that you don’t have to listen to what they say. You think of the ways through which you can remove all the misunderstandings and what seems to be the best way is to sit down, calm them down and explain them again that what they are thinking is not correct; but a person like me who hates giving justifications, clarifications and explanations would just want to remain silent and let things be as they are. However, one thing that he/she shouldn’t forget to do is to pray Allah (SWT) to guide us all, help us all to think in the right direction and remove all the misunderstandings.
PS: Saturdays are off at my office and hence they are meant for sleeping to you heart’s content
and completing all works that kept piling up throughout the week. But right now I’m rotting at my office without access to Internet as the server is down and the networking guy isn’t here. So, I can’t really do anything but exaggerate and hence come up with a post for my bloggy
Btw since Alhamdulilah I like the kind of work I do, the people I work with and the environment I work in so, I really don’t mind working even on Saturdays and since the software is going to our US team for demo on monday so I need to stay atleast till 8 today so as to complete testing it waisay testing could never complete and i read somewhere that 100% testing is a business suicide.

Its been ages since I last rotted away at the office…on the weekends…

Mostly, I tend to keep quiet too, in such situations. Sometimes, the silence helps the other person to think more clearly and they come and apologise. At other times, they keep quiet too and that’s the end of the story.
I am no good at providing justifications and explanations, especially when the other person is in no mood to listen.
Meanwhile, if you do overtime willingly now, the folks at your office might just get used to it and you might not like that too much at a later stage, when they start taking you for granted. So, beware!

Staying away and silence helps other to understand if they are bit mutual……

Hmm…patience is a virtue but one should also let other people know in the correct way if something or some words are not liked…remember…one has to treat people like they deserve to be treated…

Hey good to know that your father is from PanoAkil. Mine too and i grew up there. And your mother is from Shikarpur its quit astonishing this time coz my mom too. Its always pleasing to get to know that people from countryside come upfront and prove no less than any person from urban. Even though u have grown up in Karachi but still its quit pleasing.

@Ghazal
Yes, Alhamdulilah
@Suga
Wow….seems like u work 9-5…good yaar…we r required to work for 9 hours i.e. from 9-6
@Sidhusaaheb
Yes if u r lucky silence would work otherwise grievances sometimes stay for a long time
You r absolutely right if i do overtime now my office guys might start taking it for granted later on but then there’s no way out….things r going to be so just before every release I guess. The good part is that we have got a lot of flexibility, if we work on Saturdays…that gets added to the paid time off..which we can utilize later on. Also if i work till late, i leave early as well sometimes
