Xie’ Xie’

Lately I went to D-Mart and there’s a Chinese decoration items shop right next to it. The interesting thing is that the shop keepers there are also Chinese; so when I saw them I got excited and told my mum that I’m going to have some chit chat with them in Mandarin but she said I have gone mad and that gave me a signal that she’s not in mood to tolerate any more of my stupidities. emoticon It stopped me for having some chinny minny conversation with my Chinese brothers sigh……But any way ‘Pak Chean Dosti’ zindabad. I could at least use some Chinese words here on my blog so that I don’t miss the fact that I missed a chance to revise my chinese (Sadly, I’m forgetting most of mandarin I learnt a year back) emoticon

“Xie’ Xie’” is the mandarin for “Thank You”. When I got a job I thanked Allah (SWT) but I have to thank a lot of people too whom He chose to help me during this process of finding a job and who turned out to be a great support.

Baba (my late father): Thanks for being my role model and thanks for teaching me some of the greatest lessons of life. You strived all your life to give me a bright future. I miss you!

Mummy and Farhan (my brother): Thanks for your love, care and unconditional support though mere words are not enough to thank for what you two have done for me up until now and are still doing.

My Cousin B: For encouraging me to keep trying and for forwarding me all the job opportunity emails you used to receive from ur CDC emoticon I got the privilege of applying at Google just because of you.

My Blogging Friends: Blogging bhaiya Mansoor for providing career counseling, for letting me know about different job opportunities, for forwarding my CV to various places and for offering **rescue services** in case I get into ne sort of trouble during my visit to IT park.emoticon

Blogging apiya Asma for bearing my ‘disappointment’ filled chats and asking me not to lose hope (I assure you now I’ll have a lot better to talk about). Thanks for being a sweet listener!

I would also like to thank my another blogging bhai Z aka Keep Walking for his duaz and for offering help regarding forwarding my CV :) . Z bhai sorry i missed u out previously  emoticon

Thanks to all my blog readers too for wishing me luck in response to my different posts.

My school and university Friend Meiji and her hubby: Thank you both for referring me at Arpa though I later turned down that offer but trust me that wasn’t only because of money matters.

Aunty N: Thanks a lot for calling me on every Sunday and reading out all the IT related job opportunities in Dawn, to me. Had you not sent the newspaper to me that day, I would have never applied and hence got the job that I now have :)

SuperNet, PTCL and KESC: I thank you three for providing me with a relatively faster dialup Internet connection, a noise free phone line and not much interrupted power supply while I was actively job hunting. All these were food and oxygen to my job hunt.

Google: For creating ‘Gmail’ emoticon

Note: This post was to be made soon after I landed on a job but curse my lazy bones for delaying it. Also SORRY if i’m missing out neone.

  5. For various reasons I never job hunted. I don’t think it would be frustrating or anything, but it does seem rather daunting.

P.S. Xie’ Xie’ for the post :)
