Karachi under black clouds of terror :(

Filed under: Current Affairs

I think I do not need to mention what happened in Karachi today but being a Karachite and being a citizen of Pakistan….I want to voice my feelings out as i get very disturbed by such situations….people are lying dead on the roads, the city is echoing with heavy firing, properties r being set ablaze and we sit helpless emoticon…i don’t know for how long is this wrangling going to continue and how many more lives is it going to claim but all i can say is that may Allah(SWT) save and guide us all. May He safeguard my city and my country.

Right now I can’t put down my feelings into words but to show my grief, i put this black banner in my post…i also tried changing the color of my blog template to black but sumhow failed to….neway the banner is here because i feel it was one of the darkest days in the history of Karachi :(

  1. It indeed was fariha.

    And utterly sad too … somehow i was thinking how fragile our feelings and emotions are - we are the same ppl who celebrated life when death was all around in october 05 and here see what’s happening … my heart cries out at this …!

  3. It was indeed shameful act which took place yesterday. Every one was tensed and there sort of curfew situation, no one was getting out of home…

    While I went outside around 9pm, I was startled to see the condition, I thought its 3am in morning and my watch is not working properly…. huh.. !!

    Besides, for 4 hours firing was going on and sad to say no one from security forces arrived… Seems like “Jhangal Raj” is going on in Karachi.

  4. It simply shouldn’t have happened. Not in today’s world. Events like these cause us to reevaluate any sense of security we may have. Its just sad.

    I’m outside Karachi, and was supposed to be there today. Now I suppose I’ll just have to wait for things to clear up.

    @Om

    Agree…..Karachi is giving the picture of a jungle these days :(

    @Waqas

    Being a woman i had always thought that it’s just a woman who’s not much secure but yesterday’s events showed that no one is secure :(
    Waqas..avoid getting back to Karachi at least for a few more days

    I was abt to change this header to black coz of what has happened in my dear city but then dropped the idea as i felt people might take my nonpolitical protest as a political one….neway the header image has been designed by San Base…it’s basically a painting that i’ve put up as a header. U can find link to San Base right at the bottom of my blog.
